SSHRC College and Community Social Innovation Project has a dual purpose – research and policy engagement. It creates innovative programming that will successfully bridge refugees to post-secondary education. We want to bring refugees and newcomers from the margins to the centre and to include them in Canadian society. This website and the project will also inform policy to bring about systemic changes to create access to higher education for all refugees. The project is led by George Brown College in collaboration with the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture (CCVT) and the Centre for Mental Health and Addiction (CAMH).
